6th World Conference of Science Journalists

at Central Hall, Westminster, 30 June – 2 July, 2009

The 6th World Conference of Science Journalists in 2009 (WCSJ2009) brought together established and aspiring reporters, writers and science communicators from around the world to debate, network, develop their professional skills and report on the latest advances in science and technology.

Pallab Ghosh The vision was to bring together all the talents we have in the UK and put on a great show for the rest of the World. That's exactly what we did. The conference exceeded all expectations and in the end, it attracted over 1,000 participants in total who shared their experiences, debated the big issues facing science journalism at present and networked with their International peers.

This is a meeting that really has changed the way science journalists thought about the way they work. It's a conference that inspired as well as informed and its impact will be felt across the world for many, many years to come. It has been a great advertisement for British Science Journalists, Science Communicators and our Scientists.
