Online bookings

Conference registration is now available via our online booking pages. Please make sure you complete the correct booking form (according to your status). You will be able to book your delegate place as well as register your interest in the satellite pre-conference workshops and post-conference trips. Delegates will be expected to provide proof of accreditation for membership, and student or professional affiliation.

Day attendance range £295 - £350
NGO/Academic/Government Organisation delegate rates
Full conference range £335 - £450
Day attendance range £200 - £250
Journalist/Editor delegate rates
Full conference range £225 - £300
Day attendance range £150 - £200

Fees Explanation (all fees are plus 17.5% VAT)

Above is the range of delegate fees available for the conference. The variation within each fee range is due to membership and early bird booking discounts being available.

Journalists (incl. ABSW and WFSJ members) and full time students

Who should attend?

WCSJ2009 is aimed at professional and aspiring journalists (print, internet, TV and radio) and other science communicators. We expect to attract more than 700 delegates from across the world to the Central Hall, Westminster, including from developing countries.

 

Travel bursaries

We aim to have a limited number of travel bursaries available for delegates from developing countries, thanks to our sponsors. Please check back here for further details about how to apply.

 

Visas

We will be happy to provide official conference Letters of Invitation to speakers and delegates, to assist with visa applications. For further information about visa requirements for the UK see http://www.visitlondon.com/travel/customs_visas/

Delegates are advised to apply for visas at least 3 months in advance of the conference to avoid disappointment.
